With the market correction of 2007-2009, Laila quickly pivoted by setting up strategic alliances with banks. The banks presented her with distressed and foreclosed homes to sell, which allowed Laila to manage complex and emotionally charged negotiations.
She ensured the occupants were set with a new location and then assessed the condition and value of the properties. Laila mobilized her strike team of experts to rehab the home and put it on the market for the banks. She was given listings from Daly City to Santa Cruz and everything in between. She continues to occasionally represent banks with distressed assets.
